Lillian Blondet | Secretary

Since 2010, Ms. Blondet has served as Director of the City of Miami Office of Grants Administration. Responsibilities include the coordination of all aspects of grant applications and securing funding and alternative revenue streams for all City Departments and Initiatives; Offering technical assistance to City departments seeking funding; and Providing expertise in assessing changes, regulatory compliance and grant management that may impact funding. She also oversees the coordination and implementation of citywide initiatives in areas such as Education, Wellness, Summer Youth Programs, Workforce, and Financial Literacy.

Prior to working in the Grants Department, Ms. Blondet served as Assistant Director with the City of Miami Department of Community and Economic Development responsible for directing, planning and administering the development and implementation of social services, neighborhood development, economic development projects and programs funded by HUD. Her duties included managing the contract development process for federally funded programs such as Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA).

Prior to working for the City, Ms. Blondet worked for Florida Power and Light for over 14 years.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineer from the University of Miami.
